GROWER NOTES: >
Juniperus virginiana 'Grey Owl' is commonly referred to as Grey Owl Juniper or Grey Owl Red Cedar. It is a vigorous groundcover or small shrub with soft, finely textured, thread-like, blue-gray needles that become purple-tinted in winter. It produces silver berries that the birds love!
Grey Owl Juniper is low maintenance and long-lived, given proper growing conditions. It thrives in full sun in average, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate standing water. It can be drought tolerant once established. Grey Owl is ideal as a hedge, accent and specimen plant.
