GROWER NOTES: >
Pieris japonica 'Dorothy Wycoff' is commonly referred to as Dorothy Wycoff Pieris. It is a hardy broadleaf evergreen shrub that features dark red buds that open to light pink to white fragrant flowers in spring on 3-6 inch long panicles. Flowers are an early nectar source for hummingbirds and other beneficial pollinators. Thick leaves emerge red in spring, turning dark green in summer and later maturing to bronze in winter.
Dorothy Wycoff Pieris is easy to care for and deer resistant. It thrives in filtered sun in rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils.
