Stephanandra incisa 'Crispa' is commonly referred to as Cutleaf Stephanandra. It is a small, deciduous, fast-growing groundcover shrub with small, star-shaped white flowers in spring. Attractive foliage is dark green and maple-like, attached to slender, arching branches that grows in a unique zig-zag pattern and self-layers where it touches the ground. Leaves turn an attractive yellow and orange fall color.
Crispa Stephanandra thrives in partial shade in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is great as a groundcover or in mass plantings.
