GROWER NOTES:
Rhus aromatica 'Gro-Low' is commonly referred to as Gro-Low Fragrant Sumac. It is an adaptable, low-growing, deciduous, groundcover shrub that provides great erosion control. It features small, fragrant yellow flowers in early to mid spring that are followed by clusters of velvety red fruit in late summer to late fall. Flowers bring in all the beneficial pollinators! The glossy green, serrated compound leaves are fragrant when brushed up against or crushed, and turn a spectacular orange and mahogany-red in fall.
Gro-Low Fragrant Sumac is easy to grow, thriving in full sun to partial shade in average, well-drained soils. It is drought tolerant once established. It is ideal for naturalizing, woodland gardens and mass plantings.
