GROWER NOTES:
Excellent cultivar with reddish new growth that matures to deep purple that holds its color all summer. In fall, the foliage turns dark purple. Beautiful pink buds open to pinkish white flowers in spring and then turn into red fruits for the birds. Fireside® is easy to care for and grows a bit larger than other varieties, but keeps its compact habit. Great as a screening plant that will not overgrow its space. Ninebark is named for its exfoliating bark on mature branches which peels away revealing reddish brown inner bark. A First Editions® plant.
