GROWER NOTES: >
Campsis radicans 'Flamenco' is commonly referred to as Flamenco Trumpetvine or Flamenco Trumpetcreeper. It is a native North American flowering vine that features a very vigorous vine that can grow very long in a single growing season. Clusters of large fiery red trumpet-shaped flowers attract bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and other beneficial pollinators starting in late July and continuing into September.
Flamenco Trumpetvine is easy to grow and thrives in morning sun and afternoon shade. It enjoys average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It can be drought tolerant once it is established. It is tolerant of urban pollution and environmental salt and can thrive in city environments. Flamenco benefits from good support since it is a heavy woody plant.
