The Armstrong Maple, also known as the Columnar Maple, is a fast growing, vigorous maple with a columnar habit. It can reach heights of 50 feet and can tolerate heat better than both the Sugar Maple and the Norway Maple. Leaves emerge red in spring, turning green in summer, and maturing to a dark red come Fall. Due to its columnar habit, the Armstrong Maple is an excellent choice for a street tree. Give it full or part sun and evenly moist soil and this beautiful maple tree will reward you with outstanding color and shade for decades to come.
