![]() |

![]() |
Spider mums have petals that are long and tubular with hooked ends. Almost spider-like in appearance. |
![]() |
Spoon mums have petals that are spoon shaped. |
![]() |
Quill mums have petals that are straight, long and tubular that resemble a feather quill. |
|
FYI: Chrysanthemums are usually grown as a seasonal annuals for fall bloom. Varieties are usually grown for outdoor use and require short days (long nights) to bloom with differences among varieties -- early fall blooming ones require shorter nights than those blooming later. Pinch back to encourage branching and denser growth -- no later than July 15 in zone 4-5; division every 3-4 years may be beneficial. |
