Fafard Complete Container Mix is fortified with an extended release fertilizer to feed plants growing in containers out of doors. HOW TO USE: Use straight from the bag to fill containers and hanging baskets. Close the bag tightly after each use to keep the soil from drying out or becoming contaminated. REPOTTING: Water the plant and allow it to drain. Remove plant from existing container by holding stem with one hand, turning pot upside down and gently tapping the side of the pot. The entire rootball and plant should come out easily. Pour enough soil into the new pot to raise the top of the rootball to within 1 or 2 inches of the rim. Fill in around the rootball and firm it down with your hands. FEEDING: The amount of extended release fertilizer in Fafard Complete Container Mix is formulated to feed slow growing plants for up to 4 months. Frequent watering, high temperatures and heavy-feeding plants can exhaust these nutrients faster. Keep an eye on your plants and feed them if their foliage begins to fade to a lighter green. You can either swirl more fertilizer onto the surface of the soil or begin feeding every one to two weeks with a water-soluble fertilizer. WATERING: Water newly potted plants promptly and frequently. Water daily on hot, dry days, less often when it is cloudy. All outdoor containers should have drainage holes.

Raintainer Water Crystals offer the unique service of providing your container plants with a constant source of moisture. They do this by absorbing and locking away water into reservoirs. These reservoirs are then available to the plants roots. This allows the soil to hold more moisture without causing roots to rot. |
