The Lenten Rose
 The
Lenten Rose is a very popular,
early blooming shade perennial that grows hardy zones 4-7.
Contrary to its name, it is not of the Rose family, but the
Butter Cup family. After blooming the Lenten Rose remains a
lush ground cover throughout the year. Best news of all:
deer dislike them.
