Amelanchiers
make excellent naturalizing plants.
Grown as both trees and multi-stem
shrubs.
Its adaptability makes it easily usable.
Early white flowers turn into
blue, purple
edible fruits (blueberry-like) in June which birds relish.
Fall color
can be spectacular. Tolerates shady conditions.
